Display Board

So we had to make a display board. This display board contained ten or more items. That had to do with leadership. They all had a write up explaining why it's on your board, why it's important, and how did it affect or change you. We then had to defend our boards. We got to choose the color of our display board. I chose black, simple color. I then put my items on a blue construction paper. And put it on my board by glueing it. The items I put on my board meant a lot to me if I put it on there. If it didn't put it on there, it probably wasn't that important. We defended our board twice. We had to talk about the items on there, and if we had questions for ourselves. We had to answer them. We had to be confident with what we said, and it had to make sense. Other wise, it wouldn't be defending the board. It was worth lots of points. For each defense, it was worth 100 points.

Hilight of the display board was making it. It was really fun taking the time to make the board nice. I tried my best for the board to look nice, I also tried using all of the space on there. We had to anyways. I made sure I finished it on time. I didn't want to wait last minute. So once I was done printing out something, I didn't want to lose it or wait last minute, so once I got home with my materials, I immediately started gluing and pasting. I had a fun time doing that. Without the cutter I don't know how my display board would look like if I wrote it free handed.

Lowlight of the display board would have to be when people didn't finish. People waited last minute. They waited for the morning of the due date for them to finish gluing. People weren't doing their jobs just cause they were near the computers doing their write ups for their display board. One person didn't even finish their board. That person wasn't doing their job, they were walking around finishing up their board. But that person wasn't the only one that didn't finish. There was a couple more. I was the only one at the ID machine doing my job because i was done with my board.
Another lowlight was one of the items on my board. I sorta wanted to switch that item with something else. The spring bucket wasn't that important. I even had a hard time typing the write up because I knew it didn't make any sense of why I was putting it on my board. I should've put an AR book on there. That would've made sense. The first problem I was in. While I was defending my board, Mr. Ing made me realize that it should've been on there. It would've made perfect sense. More sense than the spring bucket.

I learned that you shouldn't wait last minute to finish things. I also learned that you should do what feels right to you. Not do something to easily get out. Don't cheat yourself to finishing without trying. It takes more risks to cheat your way out, or take the easy way out, than to do it the right way, or the way you feel is right. That is what I realized.
