last week of quarter one!

Guess what day it is? Guess what day it is? Monndaaaaaaay! LOL. Today is 9/29/14, so close to the end of he quarter. I'm not so satisfied with my grades right now :(((((. Today's periods were 1, 3, 5, & 4. In period one, we worked on 4.4 linear functions & stuff I think. Well before I went to algebra, I had to change the ID's of a new teacher. I got lost. First, Mr. Ing told me C105. C105 is Miss. Reyes. So I used her phone to ask Mr. Ing what the room was. He said I103. So I went to I building. I didn't know if there was anyone in there. There was no door knob. In period three, we worked on our projects for the last time. And I got to retake a quiz that I got 4.5/18 on(x. I got 18/18 when I re took it. In period five, all we did was read for AR. My group went down to the library to search for books. I found a nice & quiet corner in the library that has a stool. So I read there. Deri ecka read the books that I read, right after me. We read in the same spot. Then emma & tiana came to read in the corner. It was louder. They kept talking LOL. When I tried walking out, I tripped and accidentally kicked tiana LOLOL. I finished AR that day. In period four, we worked on stuff about imagery & writing so that it creates images in the readers mind. I guess I'll call it a day, toodles. (9/29/14 7:48 pm). Today is Tuesday. Dang, it feels like Friday or something. Today I went on TV with emma. The periods today were 2, 4, 6, & 3. In period two, we had our quarter one science test. Which I think I got a B on. It was kinda hard. I didn't study lol. UGH #42 WAS HARD. In period four, we worked on peer reviewing out rough drafts, but since most of the class didn't do their rough drafts, we got to do the tought drafts in class. In period six, we watched this video called "Future Fright". It was about what would the future be like if we didn't follow the bill of rights. In period three, we re did our life saver go cart activity. We had the chance to make another Cart & make it get the farthest distance. Afterschool, we had a LDSC meeting. This time it was in a classroom that had AC. We had sandwiches, Rice Krispies, chips, and soda or water. It was a short meeting. It was starting to get really dark and cloudy outside. After we went to go get jessdabest. I got the pitaya base this time. LOL THEY SAID MOT TO TELL BUT I TELLIN ANYWAYS. So like when we parked, Jahlyssa was first to get out of the car, it was pouring by then, so she was outside of the car while me, Mr. Ing, and laila was in the car watching her run back and forth to avoid getting soaked. It was pretty funny. Then while waiting to order, there was a beetle crawling towards her so she wanted to kill it. Remember that now. Then she was last to get her bowl. Me, laila, & Mr. Ing headed towards his car. He had to move his car because it was near the sprinklers. Then we see Jah coming, and she drops her bowl on the ground and starts doing some type of dance. Turns out she was getting attacked by a beetle. Probably the one that she wanted to kill. HAHAH REVENGE/KARMA. IT WAS SUPER FUNNY OMG. Story of the day LOL!. Then we went to Costco to go eat there. On the way there, the song shake it off was playing and Mr. Ing was singing it to relate to jah shaking the bug off of her hair LOLOL. Shake it off, shake it off! (9/30/14 7:34 pm). Today is only Wednesday, dang. Two more days of the quarter left. Today's periods were 3, 5, &1. During homeroom, we had an intense meeting with dayna. The group leaders & dayna. It continued until about 10 minutes into period 3. That morning before homeroom, period three did their Zumba performance. They got only 9 dancers. In period three, for avid, we shared our projects in the library. Kaylyn & I got a C for it! WTF!. My grade for avid is still an A though, so I'm good. In period five, we discussed the retreat. We talked about what we were going to do, what we need to bring, etc. I hope my whole group ends up going. In period one, we worked on sections of our booklets. Boring. Like omgggg whyyy! The quarter is about to end. Afterschool, I went to chelseys house. We watched conjuring, ate buffalo wings & ate shrimp chips. Pretty chill day. Dang this day was short haha. (10/1/14 9:32 pm). Today is Thursday. My oh my, this week was a breeze. Today's periods were 4, 6, 2. In period four, we worked on developing a Utopia. In period six, we worked on our bill of rights booklet. I'm almost done right now. We had to make a booklet of the ten amendments. In period two, we watched a 50 minute video on volcanoes. Then we just played caress until the bell rang. I played kemps with Momi, Diane, and Princess. Ashlyn was the dealer. Diane was my partner at first, we kept winning. Then momi wanted toswitch  partners. So then momi became my partner. Today was a really short day. OMG Zumba tmr nooooo! (10/2:14 9:31 pm) "He asked what day it was, I said it was October 3rd". Today we had Zumba!. We got 20 dancers bc beyonce is queen. I guess we did pretty well. The periods today were 5, 1, 3, & 2. During homeroom we had a serious discussion about problems. It took up a couple minutes of period five. During period five, we arranged the new seating for second quarter. In period one, we corrected our homework & took a quiz. I was like omg it's the last day of the quarter. In period three, we did a phisilophical circle thingy. In period two, we had free time. We played cards & stuff. That was fun (10/3/14 8:42 pm).

Highlight of my week was Zumba. We danced to our song and we got 20 people to follow along. That's pretty good. Another highlight is that we got FieldTrip forms. We going to the retreeaaaat. Lowlight was that people told people not to dance with other people's Zumba. Just so they can get the good grade. How selfish is that?. We didn't tell anyone else not to dance on the first day of Zumba. 

Lesson learned was you don't have to get along with people to work with them. Even when people aren't on the best terms, they still should try to get things done. Like the discussion we had, it was about not doing anything about the problems. As group leaders, we should've gotten together and discussed these problems and found ways to fix them together. So that means you should help eachother out even though you might not like them.

Zumba Zumba Zumba!

I keep going on and off with the whole do a part of your blog everyday thing. Sometimes I forget, sometimes I don't feel like it. I'm trying to push myself to keep doing it. Trying to make it a habit. So today is Monday, September 22, 2014. The periods today were even & cclm. The order was 2, 4, 6, 1. My group worked morning music/recess music. I worked morning music with emma and Deriecka. Jayde worked recess music with emma and tiana. In period two, we learned about the effects of plate tectonics. How it creates earthquakes and volcanoes. Did you know that magma and lava arent really the same things? Magma is when it's still inside of the mantle, lava is when it comes out of the crust, like a volcano explosion. In period four, we read another part of "A wrinkle in time". We also did the graphic organizer of the heroes journey. In period six, we had to recite the preamble to get a prize. I didn't study it, so Zoe and I were just playing around. In period one, we worked in groups of 3 or 2. We worked on addressing the SMPs. Mrs. Gouveia gave us skittles out of nowhere. She just gave it to us while we were working. Afterschool, I went to go get jambajuice. Then, I just did whatever when I got home. I don't really do anything at home. I just sit around and do nothing sometimes. Or just stay on my phone and fall asleep. LOL this is getting really irrelavent, goodnight. (9/22/14 10:25 pm). Today is Tuesday, September 23, 2014. The periods today we're off & cclm. 3, 5, 1, & 6. In period three, we worked on our Cornell notes tutorial project. People are already done, kaylyn and I aren't close to done yet:(. In period five, we worked on our dance, then we went to practice it in the cafeteria. Deriecka got to speak in the microphone. In period one, while Mrs. Gouveia was explaining the work, I was sleeping(x. The projector gives out air that's warm, so it made me fall asleep easily LOL. Then when we had to get together in our groups, I didn't know what was happening so I had to ask my group about what was going on. In period six, we did atuff on transition words. We had to read a recipe and determine the transition words used. And we had to write down what transition words we already knew. Afterschool, I went to Emmas house with tiana. We helped make ideas of how to decorate emmas brothers football locker at punahou. It's a thing they do before homecoming. They go to the school, and they decorate their sons locker the night before the game. So they can be surprised the next day. It's kinda cool. Then we went running around on the golf course. We almost got caught by golfers. Tiana and emma were scaring me saying something like that there was a little girl watching us. We were doing cartwheels across the green. That was my day. (9/23/14 9:45 pm). Today is Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Periods today were even. 4, 6, 2. In period four, we worked on the return stage in our heroes journey narrative. We finished reading an excerpt from a wrinkle in time. Then we worked in groups to answer the after reading questions. In period six, we had to recite the preamble. I recited it & got a pencil, what a lame prize(x. In period two, we mapped out where there was earthquakes and volcanoes in the world. We had to look at coordinates. Afterschool, emma, Deriecka, and I stayed to watch period three teach their Zumba routine. It was kinda hard to follow along. The music had no pauses in between. Emma, deri ecka, and I had a hard time following along. It was pretty confusing. (9/24/14 9:34 pm). Today is Thursday, tomorrow is fridaaaay. So today is Thursday, September 25, 2014. Periods today were odd. 5, 1, 3. In homeroom , there were navy seals jumping out of a plane. They were spreading colors across the sky, and one was holding the American flag. They landed on Campbell's field because they had an assembly. In period five, my group worked on their dance. We just had to go over all of the moves. In period one, we worked on our booklets. I'm always lost in algebra. I don't know what happening, I need help(x and I know my name is cheana. In period three, my friend dropped her phone and it cracked SO SAD!. It was an iPhone 5s. She got her phone shortly after I did. Which was last year. I think she got it sometime in February. For the whole period we worked on our cornell notes project. That was my day. Pretty boring & basic today, whatevs. (9/25/14 8:54 pm). So today is Friday, September 26, 2014. Periods today were 6, 2, 4, 5. In the morning period one did their Zumba routine outside of A102. They got 17 dancers. So my group has to try to beat them!! LOL. We ain't going down with a C or B. Gonna get that A boyo!. In period six, we barely did anything, so I got to go back to A101 to do whatever cause we had free time in period 6. I never went to period 2, 4, & 5 cause I left early at 10. I went to punahous homecoming with emma, & tiana. Punahou on top!. They won against the raiders. It rained a lot. At night, they lit the P. 

Highlight of my week was going to punahous game. Even though we got rained on, we still has lots of fun. We got shaved ice. Was pretty good, not bad. We went down to the pond and fed the turtles, and fishes, but we didn't mean to feed the fishes. They took it when it was supposed to be for the turtles!!. While watching the flaming P, there was a football player doing a fire dance. They were doing all sorts of cheers/chants. One of them were like "we beat the raiders, we eat the raiders" or something like that. People there were so rude. They didn't even say excuse me & stuff, lowlight!. They just pushed & shoved until they got their way. I had to yell at a few of them. While they tried going infront of me and tiana, I blocked their way, or stuck my leg out so they would trip :-). Pretty fun. 

Lesson learned is that you have to have good manners or else karma will come back and bite you in the butt. Yeah. So when we were leaving, tiana was ahead of me and she grabbed my arm and started pulling me through the crowd. I didn't say excuse me either, cause if they didn't, why should I?. The fact that u had to yell at them saying stuff like "watch where you're going" or "excuse you" really made me angry. They had no manners at all. So that's why you need to display good manners or else karma will bite you in the butt. 

Video Essay Blog

The second project we had this year was our video essay/PowerPoint. We had to make a PowerPoint similar to the one we made when we got an interview for the first time. We had to have a title screen with our name and picture. That was the first slide of the powerpoint. The second slide was our contact info, interests, and achivements. Third slide is what I have to offer. That means like what we can do, that can help the program. Fourth slide is, my idea for a new program. If we could make a new program/club, we would have to be an advisor of it, and we would have to be in that program. So we had to choose wisely. Then the last slide had our video essay. The whole PowerPoint had to have a theme. My theme was the beach because I always go to the beach so I thought it would be a perfect theme to represent me. 

The slides were shells and sand, somewhat like the beach so yeah.

Some highlights were that I did my video on advanced. So when it came to video essay check, I was the only one in my group with the video done so I got to show Mr. Ing and get an A. I felt pretty good that I did it in advance and when I could because it really payed off. Lowlight was that I couldn't find out how to make my video play automatically. But I got it anyways!. Another lowlight was that my group did all of theirs last minute, the day before it was due. Tiana did it at 5:00 in the morning of the day it was due. I was disappointed in them when they didn't get full credit for the video essay check. On the bright side, they got it done anyways. 

Lesson learned from this video essay was that if you have trouble doing something, ask in advance so you won't have to worry later. If you wait till last minute to get it done and to ask, there's a chance that the final piece won't be of quality. It's always based on GLO 4 most of the time. Quality producer. There's never a time where my work isn't of quality, it's only when it's not counted as a grade, it's a draft, or if I'm in a rush and it's just the first try. So always do things in advanced to make your work of quality and great.

If I could change one thing about this project, it would be to have something that would say what we had to talk about, or what we could talk abou in our video essay. I had a hard time thinking of what I was gonna talk about. So I had to improvise and talk about random things. It was hard to do something without a checklist or something. OMG it's called instructions. So it's hard to do something without instructions or directions. It's always easier to know what to do than to improvise. I hate improvising, I'm really bad at it(x

The week where everything went back to normal

So this week, everyone returned to their normal jobs. No one worked on their own, everyone worked as a group. On Monday, I had to make the intro in the morning because we didn't know we were returning to our normal jobs until late notice. I'm craving strawberry cheesecake rn LOLOLOL so irrelevant, but whatevs. So my group worked TV, Lunch music, and after school sales. I went on TV that morning. Everything went fine, there were no issues with the mic whatsoever. The periods that day were even. It was 4, 6, 2, 1. In period four, LOL OMG, we were working on steps of a Heroes journey, we'll I fell asleep then the teacher called on me! Ugh the people on my table woke me up saying the bell was gonna ring when it didn't. Then my teacher seen that I was awake, so when I tried going back to sleep, she called on me to read the damn quote, omgggggg. In period six, we took more notes on videos. These two periods are why I hate even days. But I like period two though. In period two we got together in our groups for our project that we will be doing. We're trying to make something to demonstrate one of the type of faults that we're learning in class. My group is doing reverse fault. That's when the plates collide. Pretty complicating. In period one, we did an smp activity where we had to make a chart. We had to get with partners. Lol so I was someone's partner. Anyways! That was my Monday. (9/8/14 7:34 pm). Today is Tuesday, September ninth 2014. The periods today were odd. 5, 1, 3, 6. In period five, we took a field trip to Ewa beach elementary to look at the evacuation site. It was pretty funny walking there because we were too distracted and we missed the cross walk light LOL. In period one, we corrected our work and our cfa that we did. Then we had to take this algebra book with us. It's so huge! And heavy omg it's like carrying a brick. I had to carry it with me to avid. In avid we did a phisilophical chair activity, speaking of avid, I just remembered I left my ruler on Mr. Célèbres desk!!!. In period six, we did another boring activity. It was a scavenger hunt thingy where we had to look for stuff that was in the book. I fell asleep for like half the class, and thank god no one woke me up. I still had to complete the work anyways. After school, I went to get ice cream with tiana at baskin Robbins. It was pretty good. I had cotton candy and Americas birthday cake. It was a new flavor so I tried it then I liked it. So yeah I got double scoop. (9/9/24 9:17 pm). On Wednesday, the periods were even. 6, 2, & 4. In period six, we took more notes, like damn! Too much notes to function. In period two, we started working on our projects. We can only build it in class. In period four, we did stuff for our heroes narrative whatever. I hate even periods, except period two. So basically my new teachers. Wednesday night, Mr. Ing mentioned a project that we would have to do. On Thursday, mr. Ing told everyone about the project. It's a Zumba contest!!!!!. WHAAAT I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO DO ZUMBA OR WHATEVER I ONLY KNOW HOW TO DANCE!!!!!!!. Pretty complicating. The periods that day were odd. 1, 3, & 5. In period one, we took the benchmark test. It was pretty hard. Ugh I hate school tbh. In period three, we went down to the library and started our project. We have to do a tutorial on how to do cornell notes ugh grade A boring. In period five, we worked on our dance. We had a hard time coming up with our moves. Especially writing it out. On Friday, periods were even & odd. 2, 4, 6, 5. In period two, we started our outline for our essay on plate tectonics. I hate writing, I hate school. I period four, ugh, more boring that I don't even want to talk about it. But we worked on our heroes narrative. In period six, we took a test which was pretty easy. Zoe kept putting staples in my hair so I kept putting staples in her hair. It was pretty fun that day & finally not boring for once. In period five, we did anykine(x. I was looking foward to getting jamba afterschool but jamba didn't even come. So it sucked. I was ready to run and everything!(x. 

Highlight of the week was when we found out we were doing a Zumba contest. I don't know why it's my highlight, but I'm pretty sure it's because I wanna see people get embarrased. I won't really feel embarrased cause it will be funny(x the fact that we have to compete to get a grade sucks though. I hope my group does good. Lowlight wAs that Jamba Juice didn't come a afterschool. I wanted jamba real bad LOL.

Lesson learned wAs that you have to work as a group and cooperate to get things done. If you can't cooperate, no sense of working in a group. Also that you should listen to be people who are older, or the people who know more. Don't act like a smartie and pretend you know more, the people who know more probably have been there longer than you, so you can't prove them wrong because they have been doing it longer than you have.

Alright week

On Monday, it was Labor Day, so we had no school. Yayaz. I played with my niece in her little inflatable pool. On Tuesday, the period were 6, 2, 4, 1. We did a new thing where Mr. Ing choses who works what jobs. I was like praying that my group wouldn't mess up. Turns out that while Deriecka and Emma were about to play music, spotify went offline. They had know idea what to do, and they were getting worried. But they did the right thing and went to ask Mr. Ing what to do. Group leaders couldn't work. It was just the group members. It was also the last day for AR. I took a test on one of the books I read throughout the weekend. I got 10 out of 10. My goal is 10, the book I took a test on was worth 4 points. So to make halfway, I had to get a one point book. I got a short book. I took a test on that one point book Wednesday morning. In period six, we took notes on the confederation era. In period two, we did a study typa thing with people in the class. It was a scavenger hunt. We had to go up to people and see if they knew the answer to the question and if they knew how to explain it. In period four, we did stuff on the stages of a heroes journey. In period one for cclm, I forgot what we did yo. On Wednesday, the periods were 1, 3, 5. In period one, we did a CFA. OMG I realized that this whole week, I've been doing CFA's! Uggghhhhh. Laameeez. In period three, we did stuff in our tent groups. In period five, I made Deriecka read an AR book so she can get halfway. I put her in the office of A101 and closed the door. I put my phone in there and faced time Emma's phone to watch Deriecka to see if she was reading or not. She was complaining saying the book was boring and she didn't like it. Guess what, Thursday morning, she came to me and said "I finished the AR book, I loved it. It's a cute story" DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER YO.( or the first couple of pages ). that day, group leaders worked afterschool sales with dayna. There were no issues at all. It was totally fine. That's a positive. On Thursday, I had to work lunch music. But Mr. Ing had to go to the cross country meet. So I had to do the iPod in the morning and take it with me. I went to Mr. Chongs class for homeroom just because Chelsey is in that homeroom. The periods that day were 2, 4, 6. I had no problems with downloading the music onto the iPod. It was super simple. In period two, we had a test. I got 22/23 :(((((. I would've gotten a better score!!!!!. But nooo, I got just one word wrong. One of the questions asked what two states of matter causes convection currents. Then I put solid & liquid. But the correct answer was solid & gas. Daaaang! I would've gotten 22 1/2 if my teacher said it could've counted as half. I was like mad at the world, jk. In period four, we did more things on a Heroes journey. We watched the hungergames. In period six, we took more notes on the confederation era. On Friday, the periods were 3, 5, 1 & 2. It was also pbs opt out. My job for the day was working pbs opt out. In period three, we had a CFA, great, just great. CFA's can sma (:. It took me the whole class period to do it. In period five, we had to turn in our video essay project. Gladly everyone in my group finished it. Then we got a gift basket from something insurance. Apparently Mr. Ing was nominated and he won I guess. We got a lot of supplies & a big fan!. Finally. A fan in the room. In period one, we did a skittles/M&M's activity. We got to eat them eventually. It was pretty easy. In period two, the cclm, we did something with density increasing. We experimented with water, veggie oil, and maple syrup. That cclm was fun. I think that out of all my classes, my science cclm always turns out to be the best. Group pleaders worked afterschool sales that day. Everyone did great again. No errors. 

Highlight of the week was watching my group try to work with the new thingy we had going on. They knew what they were doing so it was okay. Another highlight was when we got delivered a gift basket. We don't really get anything. This was a first timer. It was hard trying not to help my group members and the other group members when they look like they're struggling. So everything was alright.

Lesson learned was you should let people try to do something for themselves instead of always doing it for them. This weeks schedule of jobs really got me thinking about the whole idea. We should've have taught then what to do instead of doing  everything ourselves. So always let people try for themselves instead of doing it for them. So that's my lesson learned. Gnnnn
