Eh...

So on Monday, we were prepping for schedule pick up which was the next day. We practiced our jobs and set up A101 and the cafeteria. After leadership, my dad took Tiana and I fishing. We caught baby papio and Oama. We had no use for the Oama so we gave them to the guy next to us to use it as live bait. We played at the beach in the water too. I put a fish in her shirt. We were just playing in the water trying to catch the guppy fishes with Jamba Juice cups(x. On Tuesday, we had schedule pick up. I was working one of the ID computers. The printer kept running out of cards because Mr. Ing said "don't put a lot in there incase it gets stuck" so we put a couple at a time. The printer ribbon kept getting stuck. People kept moving when the camera flashed so they had to retake their picture. Some ID's came out half printed. The line was super long! There were no breaks at all. Last year we had a couple minutes after like 10 people. But this year the line was all the way to the cafeteria. The line was never ending. We had pizza after. It wasn't the same as last years schedule pick up. I have to say, last years schedule pick up was way better. On Wednesday, we started working shifts for the same jobs at schedule pick up. Jahlyssa and I had to work the whole day. Period one was first, then period three, then period five. I did the uniforms and meal accounts. I brought mac and cheese and lemonade to eat(x. After the last shift, we learned how to count the money and bring it to the office. On thursday, everything was the same as wednesday. Even my lunch(x. That day, after leadership, I went fishing again with my dad, and Tiana. This time, my uncle and cousin came. We had the correct bait to catch the Oama. And my dad and uncle caught bigger papios with the Oama as live bait. They used the reel fishing rod for the bigger papio. On Friday, same thing as the other two days. Emma came and she was working good since she never came the other two days I think. 

Highlight of my week was going fishing on Thursday. We stayed after 7. We seen a big fish surface, and Tiana got scared she said she thinks it's a "barracuda". When Tiana and I were trying to catch the oamas, my line got stuck to my dads, which was in the pole holder. So I was pretending he caught a "barracuda"LOLOL. It's an inside joke. Then I kept saying "I caught a barracuda I caught a barracuda!" Tiana was laughing so hard that she almost fell in the water. Then my cousin was playing in the little tide pools, which was gross! The water was dirty. LOL and he just walked right in, that's why it was funny. We caught a trigger fish. It wasn't a humu. And we put it in one of the tide pools. I picked it up with a stick and put it on a rock. My cousin tried grabbing it in the water acting all tough, then when it was out of the water, he didn't want to grab it because he was scared. It was so funny omg!. Fishing that day was really fun. 

Lowlight was on Friday. Everytime I looked back, people were whispering about me. I could tell. One person even told me. I felt uncomfortable that day. When no one was looking, I was kinda tearing. No joke.

Lesson learned was to don't mind what people say. Don't let it get to you. But it's hard to keep it from getting to me. It hurts my feeling a lot. Also that you can't dislike someone for no reason at all. You have to get to know the person before you can say you don't like them. Friday was a reallt tough day for me.

Birth Week Hollaaaaa!

So on Monday, we did banners. My group was Tiana, Lori, Deriecka, Joylyn, Dayna. We had to make the ID's banner, and the 8th grade banner. I was working on the first banner alone because everyone was socializing and on their phones. Then I said, "Everyone give me their phones, and stop talking and get working on the banner". So I took their phones and put it into A102's closet. They weren't being productive so I took away the source that distracted them. I gave them each a job to do. Lori was actually very helpful and she was one of the first people to help me. She actually started on the second banner because we were almost done with the first banner. We finished our banners on time and it came out pretty neat. At least we got all of that done and we don't have to worry about it anymore. After, we had free time. We played Zumi Zumi in the circle outside. On Tuesday, we practiced making intros, making playlists, writing receipts, and setting up the music and playing music. Well we had to train them. They had to do it all on their own to test their knowledge. And to test the group leaders' skills on how well they taught the new people. Jayde and I were in charge of playlists. Jah was incharge of one reciept. And petriese was incharge of the other. There were two people in each group. Well kaylyns group had three because she was alone at first then Deriecka and Joylyn came back. After that, we went to go swimming at hopes pool. On Wednesday, I came late. But I wasn't the latest person. People actually. When I walked in, we were discussing ideas for the yearbook theme. Julia, Jah, Petriese, and Jenaya came in late. When it was their turn to give their idea, they didn't have any. So we had to erase the whole board and come up with new ideas that weren't on the board. I was actually kinda mad. The people that was there earlier worked hard to think of the ideas that were already written. I came up with two. All though, Jayde and I forgot to remind our group about the ideas, we still were able to give ideas. My group. They remembered!. I'm glad they did. This will be the last time that I will forget to tell my group about something. Now that I set up the group convo, people can get their messages easily. When it was a convo on text, some people didn't get the message. So when I set it up on another place, it worked. After that, we had to test them again on setting up music and making intros. Jayde and I were in a group again, and it was petriese and jah together. They had to make an intro on their own. Well we had to teach Taylor because she wasn't here when we first explained it. Then we had to teach them what the mixer does like the other controls. And they had to set it up on their own. Well the other way around, we did music first, then intros. On Thursday it was my birthday. We went to Koolina. On Friday, omg I forget what we did on Friday even though Friday was yesterday OMG. And I remember what happened on the rest of the days??? Whaat. Makes no sense. Probably cause we didn't do anything. 

Highlight of my week was Thursday bc it was my birthday! Hollaa. 13!. Pick up time was 10. Kaylyn, Malia, Chelsey, and Tiana came. We first stopped by 7-11, then longs, then we went to jessdabest right before it opened. The line was still long!. We each got our own acai bowl. Then we went to Koolina. We went to lagoon four. We went swimming and Tiana and I went looking for fish. I seen this one fish that had orange spots and fins that would expand and I was scared. I thought that fish was poisonous. While me and Tiana were trying to catch fish, Chesley, Malia, and Kaylyn dissapeared. We didn't know where they went. They came back after. They went to the rocks. They came back with cuts(x. Chelsey didn't have any. Malia had one on her butt(x, kaylyn had one on her foot and shin. That day was pretty fun. Though we were scared to touch the floor because we feared that the "poison" fish was under us. We kept treadding in the water, or floating to avoid touching the floor. We then sat in the back of the truck on the way home. We got mcdonalds. Chelsey, Malia, and Tiana got icecream cones. I was basic and got a smoothie. While we were in the back of the truck, the ice cream was dripping everywhere because of the wind HAHAHAHAHA. It was so funny, there was ice cream all over their faces. Malia was infront of me eating hers. She didn't spill a bit. I guess she had my bday GoodLuck and it kept her from getting icecream on me. Chelsey and Tiana were a mess!. When we got home, we did the ice challenge. We had cake, and ate. Then everyone went home. We bonded.

Lesson learned was don't under estimate someone. If you think they're mean, doesn't mean you shouldn't try to be their friend. I made two people friends by bringing them both to the beach. They're like best friends now(x. One of them thought the other person was mean and sassy. But they got to know each other and they became friends. The other girl wasn't mean or sassy at all. So they basically judged a book by it's cover. Don't do that. She also under estimated her. Don't do that either. 

Second week of Training

lol so like on Monday, I forgot what we did, yeah shocker. Oh wait, I think what we did on Monday was finish our bio cubes. Yeah we did that!. On Tuesday, we worked on bio cubes again. After leadership on Tuesday, Me, Jah, Petriese, Tiana, Hope, Jenaya, Deriecka, Joylyn, Kaylyn, and Julia, went to go eat pho after. We sorta had a little food fight with the peppers and bean sprouts LOL. Then when we payed Jah, Julia, and Jenaya didn't have enough. So we had to chip in whatever money we had left. I had to give my two dollars. If your reading this, you owe me!. Saying that in the nicest way possible LOL. After pho, Kaylyn went home, and we all went to the park. We went to the skate park since most people had penny boards. Oh and when we were leaving leadership, Hope and Tiana were helping me roll on the penny board. I was too lazy to kick on my own. Then at the skate park, we were rolling down the ramps with the boards. Then we video tapped ourselves and I took screen shots. After that, we played line tag in the basketball court. It was super tiring. Then me and Tiana had to wait at Ilima for my dad to come pick us up. We waited till about three. We were thirsty because of line tag. So we just dug for coins in our pockets and chipped in to buy a canned drink at sevens(x. We got two straws and shared it. Drinking it as different times duh!. We finished it in less than a minute. On Wednesday, we discussed the yearbook themes. Well, we wrote down what theme we had in our minds. It was also Kaylyns birthday!. Finally 13. Her and I are the only people born in July in leadership as of right now. So summer workday fun I guess?(x. We also shared the picture side of our bio cube. I said I chose the picture I used because it's special, because it's of me(x oh my. On Thursday, we practiced making and intro, setting up A102 for morning music, played music, and spoke on the microphone. Then we had to move all the desks into A102 because they were going to wax the floor and stuff. After that day of leadership, Mr. Ing took me, Korey, Jah, and Laila to get acai bowls. We waited an hour to order!. We first stood in line at 11:30. We ordered at 12:20. And we got our bowls at about 12:25. I finally got a stuffed strawberry. It was super good!. I love itttt. Thanks again Mr. Ing. On Friday, I basically did nothing. On Saturday, we went hiking. Then we went to Alan Davis, then to a secret beach to jump off rocks again. If wasn't waimeas. I was so tired, we did lots of walking omg.

Hilight of the week was spending time with some of the leadership girls and getting to know them better. We all had fun that day, well I certainly did. I hope we could do something like that every week ayy?. That was just so much fun being able to get to know them better by just eating out, sliding down skate ramps, and running on lines in a basketball court. By the way I described it, it sounds like this is going to be a really weird class. We all will be able to get along just fine. 

Lesson learned, don't be afraid to be yourself around people you just met. Who you are is you. They can't change you just because you just met them. So when we all went on that pho date, we just acted ourselves, some were really quiet, and some were really crazy. That's totally fine with me. As long as everyone is happy and everyone gets along, AHEM, Emma, Tiana (;.

First week of leadership, as a group leader

This week was totally fun!. I got to show the new leadership students whats what and how to do things with the other returnees. This year, Petriese, Jahlyssa, Jayde and I are going to be group leaders!. It's actually very exciting, and tough to think about at the same time. Exciting because we get to be the leaders of the class, and we get to teach them what to do. Scary because what if we mess up? We have to be good rolemodels for them, so when they become group leaders, they will be great group leaders as well. I'm actually sad that I have one year left as a leadership student. On Tuesday, we cleaned up A101 & 102. My group cleaned up the office. I was cleaning with Tiana and Joylyn. Joylyn is really shy, and quiet, but very sly when we play spoons(; LOL. Anyways, I already know Tiana. When we went into A102, we had to get stuff out of the closet but the tricycles were blocking the way, so Joylyn and Tiana rode the tricycles out of the closet(x. Oh btw, before 9:00 we went to get donuts from Safeway, very good donuts. Donuts that Korey didn't have oops. Aha, so the day before Tuesday, we bombed the room. So when we opened up A101 there were lots of dead bodies laying around. And Korey tried saving them the day before, too late HAHAHA. When we finished all our tasks on Tuesday, me, petriese and a couple of the seventh graders played spoons, except with the ID clips LOL. We first started playing on the chair. Which was a small place to be playing with the cards. So then we added two chairs when more people decided to play. Then when lots of people wanted to play, we just went to A102 and played on the hexagon table. Hexagon? LOL is that when two trapezoids are connected? I forget LOL. Ah, whatevs. After leadership, when Jah and Mr. Ing went to fill up the water tank, Kaylyn and I were taking pictures. On Wednesday, I got people started on their cubby name tags. I was walking back and forth to tables because I had to help them and answer their questions. On Thursday, Jahlyssa and I changed the core value papers to new ones and we changed the sign that said "Ilima student government" to something colorful saying "Ilima student leadership" 

Was pretty nice. The stapler that day hated me. We also cleaned out our desks and printed out labels for the tape and stapler that belongs on our desks. 

Hilight of my week wassssss, when we all sat down to play spoons on the first day. We sorta bonded. We didn't know eachother that well, but that kinda linked the chains that connects all of us. We made lots of noise in A102. Petriese and I even tricked them once in a while by screaming or pounding the table. There was one time where I was explaining how it was at the retreat. Like how if you pounded on the table people would grab the thing in the middle. Then I set an example, by pounding the table, then right after I pounded the table, they actually grabbed the clip in the middle!. I thought they were listening to me LOL, but I guess they weren't because they fell right into that trap.

Lesson learned was don't be afraid to let go and make new friends. I actually didn't want us to start the summer workdays without the same people we had last summer. We got close real fast, too close! LOL. But I was able to let them go and bond with the new class. Two people already quit though. Ah what the heck, I'm sure this class will be able to get along easily. Hope is weird, and phsyco btw(x SHES WEIRD LIKE ME OMG
